A proud resident of Port Road, Thebarton for well over a century, the Southwark Hotel is one of South Australia’s oldest Hotels.
Having enjoyed a colourful history, the front bar walls now tell the story with a myriad of photographs from years gone by. A circus lion on the bar, a 100th Birthday in the Ladies Lounge - the stories are fascinating.
With a contemporary outlook yet always mindful of our heritage, we have worked hard to retain an 'old school' feel in keeping with a family run hotel.
So just like they did 100 years ago, jump on the tram, come in and pull up a stool.
Located opposite Bonython Park on the corner of Port Road and Phillips Street, the newly built tram extension provides the perfect means to get here. Hop off at the Bonython Park tram stop or if you are driving we have a car park accessible from both Port Road and Phillips Street.
